Just as the exact services I provide to each client is a customized package, pricing is customized as well. Pricing is based on factors such as number and types of accounts, number and types of transactions, frequency of services, time required, and complexity.
For regular monthly or quarterly services I charge a flat base fee due on the 1st of the month or 1st of the quarter. Bookkeeping costs can vary widely; when I provide a quote for you the base price will typically be in the $350 to $750 per month range. My minimum fee per month is $350 so pricing will not be lower than that, but for books with a higher number of accounts or level of complexity, pricing may be in excess of this range. I may request accountant access to your books so I can see the current state and get a true idea of how much work there is to do.
Add-on services will be charged in addition to the base fee on the 1st of the month or 1st of the quarter, as appropriate. Depending on the service and scope, the price for add-ons can range anywhere from $25 to $1250.
A one-time catch-up or clean-up project will typically run several thousand dollars depending on the scope of work. Projects of any size are welcome.
Advisory or Fractional CFO services will typically run several thousand dollars a month depending on the state of the company and the agreed upon scope of work.
It's preferred if you would like what I consider an add-on service that you are also a bookkeeping or accounting client. Clients who add these on top of regular bookkeeping or accounting services will receive a discounted rate. Depending on the service it may be charged as a flat fee on a monthly or quarterly basis or be charged based on the quantity required. For example, receipt management will be charged as a flat fee, but Sales and Use Tax services are charged per filing.
Current offered add-on services include:
Receipt management
Payroll services
Year-end preparation of W-2s and/or 1099s
Sales and Use tax
State Excise taxes
Estimated federal taxes

Yes, I am registered with the IRS and am able to provide annual tax prep services for both personal and business income taxes. My bread and butter, however, is in the bookkeeping and business strategy side of things, so my preference is to focus on that and partner with your CPA/EA.
As part of my bookkeeping services, I do regularly provide assistance to my clients with Sales and Use Taxes and State Excise Taxes.
